Plenum Coaxial Cable is designed for routing through the plenum spaces of buildings (the space used to facilitate air circulation) which will hide the coaxial cable from view and protect it from accidental damage.
Coaxial cable (often referred to as coax) is an electrical cable made up of a shielded central core surrounded by an insulating spacer which is in-turn shielded by an outer cylindrical conductor. Coax cable is primarily used for transmission of television, radio and Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) signals for industrial, commercial and consumer home installations.
CCTV PLENUM COAXIAL CABLE
Tevelec carries five grades of CCTV plenum cable suitable for video signal transmission within Closed circuit video systems. CCTV systems are often used for surveillance in areas that may need monitoring such as banks, casinos, airports, military installations and convenience stores. CCTV may also be used where human monitoring is not possible due to environmental restrictions, such as in industrial plants.
